Reggie was the youngest member of the team who put up the rather funky tiles in Lewis’s 5th floor. “All the others are dead now” he told me, as he posed in front of his photo.

The opening of the exhibition of Stephen King’s photos of Lewis’s fifth floor and the staff who once worked there was a bittersweet evening. It was a bit of a reunion for many of the former Lewis’s staff hadn’t seen each other for years or even decades and you could see that they enjoyed catching up. I also chatted to some of the current staff who now face an uncertain future. The night was a celebration but it also felt like the end of an era as we looked at the pictures of old wallpaper and deserted rooms.
