I was attracted to this scene by the way the Christmas decorations sparkled in the sunshine during a pretty aimless lunchtime wander.
A bit further down the street I bumped into an old friend from work who I’ve not seen for a few years. She told me her boyfriend’s been in hospital for 17 weeks since the lower half of his body was paralysed by a large tumour on his spine. Her Christmas preparations have involved getting builders in to adapt the house in the hope that he’ll be able to come home soon. My thoughts will be with them both over the weeks ahead.
